TIPS ON HOW TO GET A GOOD BODY MASSAGE

A full body massage will have you feeling like you are floating on air, along with providing health benefits from reduced stress and pain management. However, before you get on the table, there are a few tips that can help you get the most out of the experience.

Discuss your Health and Physical Condition

A full body massage can be quite vigorous, and sometimes, even a little painful. You will want to have a quick discussion about your physical condition and pain threshold, so you don’t get any unpleasant surprises. Your massage therapist will ask about your health history, such as your physical condition, medical history, stress levels, and whether you are on any medications. If you have any painful areas, then this is the time to let your therapist know about them.

Privacy

Before the massage starts, you will be given some privacy so you can undress. You will only be required to take off as much as you are comfortable removing. A towel will be placed over you while lying on the table, which is used to cover the areas of your body which aren’t currently being massaged.

Communicate with Your Therapist

Your massage therapist is a professional and wants you to benefit from the experience as much as possible. If at any point during the treatment, you feel uncomfortable or experience pain, you should speak up immediately. Many full-body masseurs will incorporate oils and lotions into the treatment. If you have any allergies, you should let your therapist know about them before the massage starts. A full body massage is one of the most relaxing experiences you will ever have. If you drift off to sleep during your session, don’t feel embarrassed about doing so, it just means your treatment is working.
